Goodbye Ah Gong

We were so looking forward to serve him tea.
It's ok, he will witness the joyous occasion with Ah Ma from above.
Never seen Ah Ma before but Kel always tell me Ah Gong misses her alot.
Sorry we can't serve tea to you both.
But hope you are happy to watch from above. :)

We'll miss you always....

Wedding Preps Updates!

Collected Invitation cards from our Pan Pacific Hotel Coordinator end Sep.
We chose 2 different ones - 1 in BLACK and 1 in RED.
Black was too stylo for us to give it a miss.
So for my young and modern invites, you'll get the stylo black one!
For the rest, you'll get the boring red one.
HAHA.
No la, you'll get the huat huat red one!
My mum kept reminding me she wants the red one for her relatives.
Haha.
And, just last Saturday, we went to Yitai Printing.
Selected hot stamping on the invitation cards to spare us from tying the insert to the cards.
We prefer the hot stamping on the cards anyway.
On Monday, Lee Fern from Yitai sent us the template for us to review before she proceed with the printing.
All looks good and now, they are printing our invitation cards!
Should be able to collect latest by next week.

Oh yes, our original coordinator left the Hotel months back.
Switched to another lady whom we've never met and she left too.
Current one is Cheryl Woo.
She seems quite approachable and someone whom is willing to fight for more bargains for us.
But from the email correspondences, the impression we got from her is she is damn blur!
Totally different from meeting her face-to-face.
Anyway, hope she is of more help to us.
Hoping she'll help us get more bargains now. :)
GOOT LUCK to AKAC!

And today, 19Oct, we are on leave.
Brought our mummies to Little White Wedding Shop @  Katong Shopping Centre recommended by Master Tong.
Settled our GDL & AC stuff there.
PHEW!
They will deliver the items to his house somewhere mid Dec.
During the process of enquiring and choosing, our mummies were very excited in clarifying their doubts.
Esp his mum who has not much experience in preparing a customary wedding.
It was quite funny.
And, luckily the lady boss Yvonne (if i got her name right) is patient and understanding.
Kel and me even returned to her like 30mins later to ask more questions.
Yvonne and her mum were so nice to continue explaining to us and told us to give them a call if we have more doubts.
Impressed by their service standard.
Just for the curious readers, he spent $200 odd while I spent about $160.
We chose like 3 "XI" character stickers too.
Oh ya, we got 10% disc as it was Master Tong we referred us to the lady boss.

After sending our mummies home, we went to Ikea & Courts Tampines to hunt for a simple bedframe and mattress.
Since we are only sleeping on them for maybe max 2yrs, no point spending too much now.
However, it can't be lousy as my parents will most probably continue using them after we move out.
The cheapest combi of those we like cost at least $1300.
Didn't know a simple set is also so expensive. :(
Luckily sis and bil might be passing us new pillows.
They've got 8 pillows now!
Duno where they rob them from.
HAHA.

Tell me we are very efficient! :p

Will post more updates again soon!
Hopefully really have some soon as that will mean we settle more things again!

Oh yes, I've got more ideas for my reception! :)

Another Oh Yes, we had a short and small heated discussion earlier about the timing of the customary wedding.
But we are fine soon after.
Phew.
People around me have been asking me if we had any arguments in the midst of the preparation.
I guess this is considered the first so far?
Please no major ones!

Im beginning to find the preparation process enjoyable despite some small hiccups.

We Are Good!

We rejected 3 gatherings last weekend to work on our photos selection for montage & finalise our ROM photobook.
And, we finally settled both!
Felt like it's a great achievement.
Maybe cos we've been very worn out of late at work.
And, time is short for us recently.
Anyway, PHEW so happy!
Seriously we are good!

Next up will be meeting our hotel coordinator and see what else we can do.
Oh yes, slowly sending out our Save the Date!
Quite a few commented it's very nice and even asked me for details how we did it.
So happy!
Hehe.

Pieces by Pieces

Trying to start the planning once again.
Im really glad we did our solemnization seperately.
Prepared us definitely.
Not to mention, it was an almost-dream wedding for me. :)
Whenever I think of it, I would smile.
Thanks BB for giving in to me, and for having the same likings as me.

Anyway, we are trying to settle what we can now.
The jewellery pieces are almost done, with just the super or biang Yellow Gold ones we have yet to choose.
PG+VG was settled earlier this year.
Working on Save the Date currently.
Hopefully it'll be out soon.
And, this Sunday gonna choose the gowns and coats with our big tummies.

Hopefully after we get our Pre-Wedding Shot photos in Sep, we can select the photos for our montage.
With my current working hours, I can't imagine how hectic it's gonna be.
So start early, slow and steady.

Im not gonna blink my eyes too often from now on so that time will not pass by so fast.
We need more time!

HE IS AWAY! :(

Within 1st month of our marriage and he is away to KL without me!
Sobsobsobsob bigbig time!
Actually, IM LOVING IT!
HAHAHA!
Had a good Saturday spent with my Sis & Mum, out shopping for my dowry.
Haha damn KS right?
But for the right reason - enjoy savings during GSS!
Shortlisted a few bracelets.
Wait for him to be back to choose together.
Hehe.

Anyway, I think it's good that we both don't mind some Me Time once in a blue moon (cannot too often hor!).
Previously I was saying, I fully agree and understand "Absence makes the heart grow fonder".
It still is for me and I think it is helping us to maintain our r/s by missing each other and we will cherish the time spent together more. :)
Also, when we agreed to have the time spent apart, we can fully focus on our friends/families/ or ourselves,  which is seldom the case for people in a r/s imho.
Everyone should have such quality time other than just be with our own partner.
TRY IT OUT MY FRIENDS, if you and partners don't have such Me Time before!
