Absence Does Make the Heart Grow Fonder.

I was away to Batam from Sat to Sunday without him. :p

Smsed quite abit.
He promised to pay me only for the 1st sms which he requested me to send on the first night after my cable ski.
So hope my bill won't be too high.
Haha. :p

He reached Habourfront @ 4pm when I asked him to reach around 4.15pm.
And, he waited for nearly 1hour, paying $8 of parking fee. :(

After unloading my stuff at home and rested a little, we went to Colbar since it's early (it closes at 8.30pm).
And, he has been wanting to try it. :)
*refer to my blog on Colbar*

Thanks for not opposing to my short trip with my ger frens.
Thanks for picking us up.
Thanks for sending the other home.
Thanks BB! :)

Happy Monthsary!

He remembers!
I didnt. :p
The last few months I think except the Anniversary, noone remembers also.
Its like that after sometime.
HAHA! :p
Kai yi ge xiao wan xiao.

I had to pack for Batam, he had to go home to take car after work, hence we only met after 8pm.
Went Holland V for our favourite - Crystal Jade's Prawn Paste Chicken.
And, of cos dinner.
Then he brought me to The Daily Scoop @ Chip Bee Gardens (FINALLY I KNOW WHERE Chip Bee IS!).
We tried duriandurian & greentea+redbean.
VERY YUMMMY!
The durian ice-cream is better than Udders'.
Equal match to Scoopz'.

Now he is off to meet his friends at the Airport for some kopi session.

Hope he enjoyed the night as much as I did thou it was short.
Gonna be on 2 different islands from tomorrow morning to Sunday late noon. :(
Take it as we give each other annual leave.
Haha!
Enjoy and take care these 1.5days. :p
Cya on Sunday!

When you have too many bros and when all get old...

You will become brother many times during your bros' weddings.
Gers can't be sisters too many times (like 3?), what about guys being brothers? :p

He has been bro twice.
This year 2 more.
Next year should be at least once more.
Oh and maybe considered half-a-bro for my sis' wedding.
Haha!

Actually I have been sisters a few times too I realised, starting from a young age.
Ah hua and ah long's ah gu's weddings, if that's considered cos we followed them to gate-crashing.
Ah hong zehzeh's in JB 4yrs ago.
Sis' I also maybe half-a-sis.
Sy's coming up.
Exceeded the 3 times, I hope I still jia de chu qu.
HAHA!

Block Leave 2010 - Day 13 & 14

Yesterday, we did not meet as we really needed some rest after the trip and especially a midnight flight back.
But he went out to meet his car agent and friends at night.
Didn't return late thou. :)

And so today, we have reached the last day of our Block Leave 2010! :(
I feel BLUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE really.
Anyway, he went to renew his road tax this morning after settling the insurance last night.
Then he accompanied his mum for breakfast, sent her to Orchard and then came over to play with Anabel while waiting for me to get ready.
Last day for him to play with her til duno when then he can see her again.
Nov leave hopefully.
Haha.
We left early at 1 ish I think.
Finally, we are going to revisit his hall which he has been wanting to. :)
First stop was at You & Lai Coffeeshop or some call it Ah Fang.
Had the zhu chao which we used to have in Uni days - him with his hall mates, I with sy and Dennis.
Still cheap and nice. :)
Then went to his hall to took quite abit of fotos and he showed me the rooms he stayed for the 4yrs he was in NTU.
Can picture out some of the funny incidents he told me before which they did as we walked past certain areas.
Could see that he was really happy during his hall days as he showed me around and telling me where and what took place.
I too showed him to my hall, the one I stayed for only one sem.
Haha!
Main thing was the laundry area which made sy and me washed our clothes there only once.
Cos there was this guy who didn't bother to check if there were any clothes in the washing machine and just dumped his on top of ours.
And, we think ours stink after that.
Yucks.
Anyway after that, we went to JP to walk around a short while and came back home to play with Anabel again.
Haha.
Then dinner with my family and off he went home early to rest so as to watch his Champions League later on.

Time to sleep and prepare for the return to work.

Adios~

Block Leave 2010 - Day 10-12 KL!

So we went to KL!

Departure flight was 5.10pm on Tiger at Budget Terminal.
No delay for this. :)
At the DFS, my dad made the 1st purchase - Garlsberg & Guiness Stout.
They gave BB 2 cans in the hotel for him to drink.
Haha.
After arriving at KL LCCT, we went to buy a taxi ticket from the Budget LCCT Taxi counter or something.
Costed us RM75, guess was reasonable.
Once we reached Royale Chulan's lobby, we were quite impressed.
Really grand, really 5stars!
My parents love the comfy and huge sofa seats and requested for some fotos.
Haha.
Rooms were fantastic with a princessy arm chair which I really like.
We left for KLCC shortly since it was getting late.
While waiting for our seats at Madam Kwan, we walked around that level and he bought a TYR beach shorts.
Satay & the fried drumstick were yummy, the rest were soso only.
By the time we finished eating, almost all shops were closed hence we didnt shop there. :(
Went to take pictures of the Twin Towers!
Quite funny cos BB kept try to take our faces and the towers clearly and we kept changing spots and think of ways to make things easy for him.
Abandoned the plan to go Skybar since we gotta wake up real early the next morning.

For the 2nd day, we woke up at 7.30am as we are going Genting!
Asked hotel staff if there are Mamak shops around the area to have Roti Canai! :)
They recommended this Jln Walter Garnier place with quite a few breakfast coffee shops and we chose a nice Mamak Shop for roti canai.
We four were kinda satisfied.
After that, we met a nice local auntie who recommended us to this group of cabbies who drives ppl up to Genting.
One cabbie quoted as RM100 for one-way the 1st night btw.
And, after enquiring from the group the auntie suggested, they offered us RM60!
We didn't bother to bargain as its really low.
And, I must say they are all nice people.
The uncle Mr Ng who sent us up couldn't fetch us down and got another colleague to do so.
We paid his colleague RM70 to send us to Jln Alor from Genting. :)
Anyway, before going to Genting, we stopped at the temple to pray and take some pictures.
That's where mum's shoes opened mouth too.
Haha.
Hence, once we reached Genting we accompanied her to buy shoes.
Anyway, we all lost abit in the casino. :(
But, we had Marrybrown after that!
Hehe.
We reached Sungai Wang after 4pm I think.
Shopped abit, bought some clothes and walked to Jln Alor.
Walked along the whole stretch of da pai dang before stopping at one shop.
Interested concept as they have one menu for the 3 or 4 stalls in the shop.
Not sure if the shop we ate in was Meng Kee Grilled Fish.
Btw they have lots of Meng Kee there!
Had problem finding the stalls recommended online cos all had similar names.
Anyway, I only like the Penang Prawn Noodles our of all we ordered. :(
After dinner, parents were on for a walk to Chinatown, hence we spent like 15mins or so to walk over.
Everywhere was so dark!
KL is good at saving electricity, really.
Heard Chinatown is kinda dangerous and just before we entered the pasar malam, we saw this guy walking pass us covering his right eye area with blood flowing down non-stop!
OMG, I really began to be paranoid again.
But luckily nothing bad happened to us.
First stop there was the watch shop with Ah Keong (BB's "fren") there.
We each bought a watch and this is the 1st time I buy an imitation watch.
HAHA.
Mum and dad asked us to drink some herbal tea from the stall behind also.
The place was really squeezy but we managed to buy some stuff each (except dad).
Iphone cover, shorts, tops, watches, bags and wat else? :)
Since most of the stalls sell about the same thing, we didn't cover the whole area in case my parents were bored and returned to hotel very early.
Good for him as he can catch his Arsenal match.
But, my mum called me and said my father asked wat to do since its so early!
HAHA!
I thot they might wana rest early since we left very early in the morning and somemore travelled alot.

As for next day, we slept more as we planned to check out in the morning then just stay out til the night time to come back for our luggage.
Wanted to go back to our breakfast area, this time nearby at Jln Imbi, for San Ha Mee (recommended by Eric) from Soo Kee.
But it wasn't opened that early and we went to try the Ba Kut Teh nearby.
Not bad, but I really missed the ones at ah ma house, JB & Penang.
Haha.
We then walked to Times Square.
Really very big!
We bought lots of pairs of slippers btw.
RM12.90 or even RM10 only.
I only buy 1 pair thou. :(
Hehe.
Bought bathroom slippers for sis and gerger.
Really cute and also RM10.
Oh ya, we went to the newly opened FOS there.
WAH ALOT OF NICE CLOTHES!
I bought some tees for sis, sy, ll, mum and myself.
Hope they like it.
In other shops I think we bought some misc stuffs too.
We didn't go Pavilion which we planned to as there are only very branded goods which we think we won't be buying also.
Therefore, we got lots of time to while away in the mall!
We went Krisy Kreme since I wana eat their donuts and theres free wifi. :)
Nice donuts which we all loved.
Sat there quite long before we walked back to Jln Imbi for Soo Kee's San Ha Mee.
I think except the zi bao ji and the sheng mian, the rest were not super impressive for the RM170+ we paid!
One plate of the mee is RM60.
They really tok us with the big prawns I tell u.
I don't think I will return again unless we are sure we can ask for lower price.
Haha.
We then walked back to hotel slowly.
And, rested for about half an hour before getting Mr Yap to come.
Oh yes he is the one who sent us to the hotel on the night we arrived.
He charged as same price but we gave him RM5 more. :)
There were slight delay in the return flight.
Since not too long, not much complains. :p
But I think we were all tired out since its a near midnight flight.

Oh, we bought some dou sha bings and ma ti su for the families. :)

I think we all really enjoyed the trip!
Happy!

Block Leave 2010 - Day 9

Not paying $20 to use the car earlier today.
We used like 3 or 4 days le gotta save on this and also its time we take some public transport since we aren't as tired as when we are working.
But taking public transport is really very irritating now with the inconsiderate people and jingles which I feel we can do without.

Anyway, he wanted to meet me at Redhill station at 1.45pm.
Since I was ready early, I took the train to Cityhall and met him there instead.
We went to Starbucks cos I have this 1-for-1 treat from Manhatten card (thanks employer) and we needed a place with free wifi for us to surf on his netbook to plan our KL itinerary.
He had dark mocha frappe while I had creme brulee macchiato frappe.
Ordered the capuccino cheesecake to try too.
Its nice but when i had too much of it and my drink I felt sick.
We finished our planning fast since he know KL quite well.
Then we check on movie timings and decided to watch Life as We Know it at tampines mall since we need to get the car later.
Dined at his house since quite long never eat there.
Stayed til 8pm cos I wana check out the Bonito sale online.
Opps.
Hehe.
Really bought something. :)
Packed most of my things for the trip after Im home.
Took very short time to do it now, quite pro le.
Haha.

Hope we won't have flight delays cos we are going there late and coming back real late.
Let's enjoy!

Block Leave - Day 8

We really planned for the day and were quite excited about it.
At least me.
Haha.

I prepared food for our picnic at Sentosa.
Theres sandwich, cheese hotdogs with pineapple skews which we 2 really like, doraemon yoghurt drink, his fav minute maid orange & doritos with tostito sauce which we 2 love also.
He bought barley water prepared by his mum, plain water (realise we got alot of water), a pack of Nachos & Cheezels.
We left my house around 12.25pm.
Went to Palawan Beach which looked like a private beach for us cos it was quite empty.
Haha.
While he went to the gents, I arranged the stuff on the 2 mats.
Kept eating and play words with friends.
Haha!
Before I can read my book and listen to some music, it started to drizzle.
We then packed, changed and went to RWS to walk around.
I bought some interesting candies, for jo's present and my own consumption. :p
Then, he got a call from Tiger.
Our flight changed for duno the 5th or 6th times.
And, the previous change was only yesterday.
Hence, we decided to come home to check the available flights, discuss with my parents and settle the hotel if need to be changed.
If not for this, we would have gone back to NTU cos he has always wana visit his hall again.
Next week or next leave ya? :)

But we had quite a good time playing with Anabel after that. :)
He went to meet his friends again just now.
HAHA! :p
I need to rest anw.

Shall pack for the trip tomorrow!
Hope no more changes and no flight delay!

Block Leave 2010 - Day 6 & 7

No Monday Blues for us! :p
But we didn't have a really good sleep cos it was too hot!
Usually I will sleep inside he outside which is cooler.
When I really bth I wake him up (I don't do that, shows how hot it was) and he changed with me.
End up he was so hot that he went to on the air-con.
FYI, the pillow he lied on was really all wet with his sweat!
Yucks.
Haha.
Slept til 10.30am.
Went for prata, mutton soup & iced teh tarik at Mr Teh Tarik.
Im glad theres one Mr Teh Tarik at his house as our new office doesn't have one! :(
Walked around Tampines One for awhile before returning home to prepare to go White Sands for my braces tightening.
Oh ya kept uploading 101010 pics the whole day too whenever we are home.
Haha.
We took SBS BUS to White Sands as we don't want to spend another $20 if we can save on it.
Kinda unused but im fine thou I suggested cab.
HAHA! :p
After tightening we took a short walk there and I bought 2 Doraemon stuff - 1 purse & 1 pencil case.
Purse for overseas use to put some money & pencil case to put my cosmetic brushes. :p
Once 7pm we drove back to my house and know what?
We went for a run!
A super short one thou.
We didn't run for very long so yeah keep it short.
Haha.
Moreover we didn't take dinner before that.
We ran from here to the car showrooms then along Alexandra Road to Ikea then to ABC Market.
Dinner was a $5 plate of Fried Hokkien Mee & Satays! :)
Rest at my house til 10.20pm then he went somewhere nearby to meet his friend.

As for Day 7 today, we didn't meet.
I played with Anabel, went NTUC to shop for picnic stuff (we are going Sentosa to picnic tml!), prepare to go out and meet lw, xj and mt for mt's bday at night.
He cleaned the birdshits off his car, washed air-con, met Aaron to Orchard then went to Downtown East carpark to take some photos of their cars with some other friends.
I think I rested a little today, hope he did too. :)

Looking forward to tomorrow! :)

Us Time on 101010.

We went to Tampopo for dinner that night, just the 2 of us. :)
Maybe as a mini celebration for the day?
Haha, thou is not our big day but ah ger's.

Nice Chawanmushi.
I never fail to have this when im in a jap restuarant. :)

This Black Pig Ramen is really good.
Nice soup base & very soft pork meat!
Only pity was the noodles weren't Q.

Sushis were bad.
To think the 2 Amaebi sushi cost us $9!

We really love this Whole Orange Jelly!
Refreshing and unique!

Block Leave 2010 - Day 5 - 101010.

And so, its ah ger & fy's solemnization!

I woke up just before 9am to eat a little, bath, change and do a little make-up.
He came at 1010am.
Haha.
We made our way to the hotel at around 1035am after ah ger went with her friend.
After checking-in, he started to take some photographs while the make-up artist do up my hair.
Everyone kept saying Im like the bride instead of ger cos I got personal photographer, makeup artist, dress also laid out nicely on the bed.
HAHA! :p
But overall she definitely look better la, esp with the tea dress on! :)
After 12pm, we went down to help deco the venue while the bride and groom were getting ready.
After guests arrived, solemnization started then the food then sending some guests off then went to ah peks' house to baibai to our granny and grandfather.
Went back to the hotel to carry most of their stuff home.
Oh ya, we presented the newly wed with the customised bedsheet set we got for them and the ang bao of cos. :p
Mingled with my relatives at my house then left at 7pm.
Went Liang Court to try Tampopo.
The black pig ramen was really good & also the whole orange jelly!
Sushi was not nice.
Walk around Clarke Quay awhile then went home to rest.

Really tired out.
Slept til 10.30am this morning.
Worth it for my one and only sister. :)
Happy Marriage!

Chu

Block Leave 2010 - Day 3 & 4

Day 3 which is a Friday, he accompanied me to Shaw House for the scanning at Asia Medic.
Im suppose to have full bladder for the scanning.
And, they mean serious business when they say full bladder.
I was rejected for my 1st and 2nd tries as my bladder wasn't as full as I felt.
After drinking close to 30 cups of water I think, then it was ok.
But, I felt like I could not control myself and almost pee-ed during the scanning.
The clinic assistant from Dr Steven Ang called me earlier to say the report is ready and the doctor wana see me.
I was so worried.
But, she just called again to inform the report shows im ok so need not meet the doctor.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ wat a mistake.
Haha.

After the scan we decided to go to Rider's Cafe for some food.
Oh, I think first time we did "hi-tea" together, if that is a hi-tea.
Haha.
We had fries & salt and pepper squid.
Both were so-so only, guess they are good for breakfast only as per feedbacks from friends.
But we like the place for it being a relax and quiet cafe with some pretty horses to watch.
Will return some day for a lazy breakfast with our books/mags/music/netbook. :)

We then rushed to OUB to get lappie from XN and then proceed to 282 to do some pre-drinks preparations.
Thanks to him for helping me with it! :)
After the drinks, I went to lili's hen's night at boat quay then butterfactory while he went to meet his swift friend.
Thanks once again for fetching sy and me back at 2+am.

As for Day 4, he was busy washing and polishing his car while I brought sis & mum to Shanghai Dreams (or now known as Memoirs) after my morning tennis lesson.
We did mani pedi to prepare for sis' big day the following day.
All were quite satisfied with our nails after that. :)
He had a nap while I packed for 101010.
At night he fetched me for dinner which was chicken rice at queenstown.
Then we went to orchard to walk around to digest the rice and alot of chicken meat.
Haha.
Retired early that night as we reckoned we will be tired out the next day. :)

We spent quite alot already! :(

Block Leave 2010 - Day 1 & 2.

Once I knocked off on 5th, we kinda started our block leave by exploring eating place.
I knocked off much later and so he went home for dinner and came to fetch me.
I suggested to go Lavendar for my dinner and we end up at this coffee shop selling Zhu Zha Tang which looks popular.
Wasn't very delicious but I quite like one of their dishes - Chestnut with Pork Floss.
He then wanted to go for some ice-cream at Ice Cream Chef which was closed when we reached.
Hence, we went to Udders which was nearby.

On Day 1, after we went for breakfast with his mum, we went to this important place - HDB!
Finally we signed it.
Hope we signed all the headaches away.
We met a very nice CSO - total opposite to the 1st one.
Hope the paper signifies a good start for our Block Leave 2010.
Haha.
After that we went to Bugis for a little shopping and lunch.
I bought this cute Doraemon earphones at Bugis Village @ $17.90. :)
We went to try Nandos for our lunch.
Ordered a Half-Chicken with Coleslaw & Peris Chips as sides.
Added soup and bread and also some Apple drink.
We enjoyed the soup and the drink.
Went to kinokuniya where he bought his Swift magazine.
The amount can buy me one dress. :p
But hope he likes it.
Then we rush home to play with Annabelle!
He didn't see her before yesterday.
He and fy both don't dare to carry her, unlike ah ger and me.
HAHA!
Dinner was settled at home.

As for today, which is Day 2, I slept for 12hours!
Shiok!
He was awaken by some noisy construction going on at his house. :(
But think he slept quite abit too?
I hope. :)
I went to run some errands and he played game and napped at home.
He came over for dinner at 7.30pm, after which we went Vivo for movie.
We watched Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts.
For more details on the movie please refer to my blog.
HAHA.

Tomorrow he will accompany me to do what Pelvis Scanning to see if there are any cysts in the tummy, womb or wherever.
Hope will be ok!
Then maybe walk around awhile before going for MO Drinks & ll's hen's night for me and kopi session with frens for him.
Day 4 & 5 shouldn't have much Us-Time as sis' wedding is on Day 5 -101010!

Gotta plan our activities after that so as not to waste our leave. :)
